In many cases steel housings are still used, but the applications with higher volume can benefit from the plastic sensor housings. The use of plastic sensor housings ensures shorter manufacturing processes and lower cost designs.The plastic housings can be used up to ambient temperatures of 250C.
In case there is requirement of more than once speed signal such as to monitor and control systems Separately, there are a number of multi-channel sensor variants. These are available with completely separate power supplies for every channel or with a common supply voltage circuit.
