Silicones De-foamer

Applications: Our Silicone Antifoam Agents are extensively used in wide variety of industrial batch processing applications, wherever foams create intense problem especially where aqueous systems are followed such as in Effluent Treatment Plant, Paper Industry, Petroleum Refining, Textile Processing, Fermentation Processes etc. Application of Silicones De-foamers in Jet Dyeing of Textile is very well known. It controls foam throughout the entire dyeing cycle as well as during depressurization without spotting and fabric staining. Our grade SUMISOL SD has been well accepted by textile industry.

pH : 5.5 to 6.5

Suitable dilutant : Soft water.

De-foaming activity : 15 - 17 seconds.

Mode of application: It is advisable to incorporate textile de-foamer in dye bath before actual dyeing. In jet dyeing machine or for similar processes, SUMISOL SD is recommended in the concentration range of 0.3 to 0.5 gm/lit. The exact concentration of SUMISOL SD to be used as de-foaming agent and antifoaming agent will depend upon various local factors such as the type, stability and density of the foam being generated, the nature of ingredients causing the foam etc.
