In hub and cup assembly of vehicle keeping accurate predfined gap between the two items is very important to ensure proper operation and efficiency. however after the assembly there is no way that gap can be measured from outside. The system measures the cup and hub using two lvdt and internal algorithm computes the size of shim required to maitain predefined gap. the system then asks operator to put shim on cup and ensures appropriate size shim is placed. once the shim size is perfect only then system allows operator to do further assembly. In addition all assembly results are logged in mySQL database for report generation.
