The Cross Belt Magnetic Separators provide a continuous and automatic discharge of collected tramp iron. It is suspended over conveyer with a powerful Rectangular Magnet which pulls out tramp iron. A cleated self cleaning belt discharges the tramp iron into a suitable receptacle, placed at the side of the conveyer away from the material in process.

As the automatic suspended Magnet never requires cleaning, there is no need to stop the conveyer.This is useful where the Magnet has to remove large quantities of tramp iron from the material to be cleaned. There is no danger of tramp iron dropping back onto the conveyer and recontaminating the material in process.The Cross Belt Magnetic Separator automatically discharges removed iron at right angles to the main conveyer travel. This separator can be installed anywhere along the conveyor line, and in some applications at an angle over the material discharge.
