One sliver is fed into each gill and there is a 4 into 1 doubling at the front of the machine, resulting in a total doubling of 4 into I on the machine (8 sliver 5 head & 2 deliveries per head 12 reach fitted with back upright for can feed at back and can turning and packing motions.
