For the treatment of schizophrenia (Adults): Consider oral administration of 2mg of Risperidone + trihexyphenidyl, daily. The dosage can be increased to 4 mg/day on the second day. The dosage can be titrated based on the clinical response. The maintenance dose of Risperidone + trihexyphenidyl can be 16 mg/day. For the treatment of schizophrenia (Geriatrics): Consider an oral initial dose of 0.5 mg of Risperidone + trihexyphenidyl, twice daily. The dosage can be increased gradually with increments of 0.5 mg, twice daily. The maintenance dosage should be 1-2 mg, twice daily. For treatment of acute maniac episodes associated with bipolar disorders (Adults): Start with an oral initial dose of 2-3 mg, once daily. The dosage can be increased by 1 mg/day. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 6 mg/day.
