This results in inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis and consequently inhibits the growth of bacteria.RIFGUARD Tab is used in the treatment of Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea (IBS-D), reduction in risk of recurrent overt Hepatic Encephalopathy & Travelers diarrhea (TD) caused by noninvasive strains of Escherichia coli (E. coli).
