In tea factories a Residence Timea of the continuous fermenting machine (CFM) plays a very important role on the final quality of a Made Teaa . During Oxidization (Fermenting) process the residence time is to be changed based on change in ambient conditions, mainly temperature and relative humidity (%RH) of surrounding air. Various method are used to change the residence time of the CFM, for example: using different size pulley, variable
frequency Drive etc. which is always prone to setting error.

Stesalit has developed Residence Time Indicator (RTI) for
real time monitoring of the residence time of CFM. It display
the residence time with respect to the drive/ pulley setting
and the same can be corrected accordingly.
