Ranitidine Hcl

Ranitidine HCL belongs to a group of drugs called H2-receptor antagonists. Chemically, it is designated in the industry as N[2-[[[5-[(dimethylamino)methyl]-2furanyl]methyl]thio]ethyl]-N'-methyl-2-nitro-1,1-ethenediamine, HCl. It effectively works by reducing the amount of acid produced in stomach. Effective in the treatment of gastrointestinal ulcers as well in providing relief from heartburn and indigestion, this drug is available in the form of white to pale yellow, granular substance. Soluble in water, its molecular formula is C13H22N4O3SHCl.
