Pulsation Dampner (Snubber)

These Pulsation Dampner (Snubber) are designed to protect pressure instruments from sudden pressure changes and fluctuations of pressuring fluids. Thus sudden pressure changes are damped before they reach the pressure sensing element to minimize stress on it and giving longer life.
Snubber or Pulsation Dampener fittings protects pressure gauges and instruments from system pressure surges and shock. Pressure damping (snubbing) is accomplished through the use of a porous sintered SS 316 element. When snubber is installed up stream from a pressure instruments , the response rate of the instrument is reduced and generally varies with the initial pressure drop across the porous metal element, and allows the instrument to smoothly come to line pressure.
Pulsation dampeners are designed to improve readability and prevent wear on delicate gauge mechanisms where pressure spikes and pulsations may be present. These dampeners are offered in a choice of connections and body materials.
