Pregelatinized Tapioca Starch manufactured by us has a high viscosity, water-holding capacity and binding abilities and it resists breakdown under heat, acid and freeze/thaw conditions.It is perfect for textile applications. On cooking it forms a quite clear gel with a long and slightly stringy texture. Upon cooling, it sets to a soft gel. The cooked gel resambles that of potato, but the texture is less stringy and it is tasteless and odourless, making it a preferred thickener.

Our starch meets or exceeds API 13A specifications.

Applications / Advantages:
1) It is perfect for textile applications. This is why it is widely used in the sizing of yarns and finishing of cotton and polyester fabrics.
2) Pregelatinized Tapioca Starch's relatively high viscosity affords an appreciable binding capacity, favouring it in the adhesive industry.
