TESTS
For MOISTURE TEST : Material is dried for 2-3 hours at 120degree C.
ADSORPTION TEST : This test determines the amount of 0.1 % of Methylene Blue soln. In ml . which is decolourised in 5 minutes on shaking with 100 mg of Activated Carbon Sample.
ACTIVATED CARBON can be evaluated not only by methylene blue value alone but by KMnO4 also , FOR actual TEST please refer to a Adsorption a by C. L. Mantell.
PH TEST : Boil 5 gm dry powder in 100 ml. Of distilled water.
