Construction: Manufactured from 5mm or 6mm thick UV-resistant polycarbonate panels joined by 25mm high extruded aluminium hinged rails; Panels have a minimum height of 100mm and maximum plate length of 3000mm. For wider apertures H-section mullions with a visible width of 15mm are placed between plates; Double walled extruded aluminium bottom rail with rubber weather seal; Aluminium guides 50mm wide by 80mm deep, plastic lined, mounted on 60mm x 80mm steel sections.

Canopy (optional): Roll formed aluminium in two sections; top and bottom boxes. Bottom box removable for installation and maintenance and chamfered at 45^o. The shutterbox is assembled on die cast aluminium endplates.

Finish as delivered: Standard finish clear polycarbonate panels, anodised natural guides, and anodised natural bottom rail. Guides and bottom rail can be powder coated to any RAL colour (some non-standard colours may increase the delivery time).

Operation: Electric operation by internal tubular motor with manual override facility. Safety brake fitted when required to comply with BS EN 13241:2003-1 (HVP Security Shutters' general policy is to fit a safety brake unless specified otherwise).

Locking options: Electrically operated grilles are generally self-locking. Standard additional electrical interlocking with electronically controlled locks. For further security HVP Security Shutters recommends a ground padlocking unit combined with a motor isolator box.
