- It is a source of Phosphorous in all soils
- It involves the incorporation of rock Phosphate ensuring the composting of

- During composting, organic acids and Humic substances are produced through biological process, which results in increased microbial activity
- This increased microbial activity brings about the solubilization and accounts for
- 75 to 90 % Phosphorous solubilized and available.
Action
- Phosphate from rock phosphate is in the form of multiple molecules of Calcium Phosphate
- Multiple molecules are converted into Mono Calcium Phosphate form by the action of cultures
- Posphorus from mono calcium phosphate is released
- Released phosphate is bonded by organic acids released from solution to the organic matter
- Complex known as Phospho-Humate complex is formed
- Phospho-Humate complex is movable phosphate which is available to plants
- Soil contains about 25 to 28 % Phosphate in unavailable form
- Phosphate which is already in the unavailable form in the soil is also slowly released and gets converted into Phospho-Humate complex
- Microbial activity of the soil is slowly enhanced
- Silica (SiO2) which is not available form for plants gets converted into mono and poly silicate organic acid forms, which are available to plants
- Calcium released along with Phosphorus is also made available
