Paclitaxel belongs to a class of chemotherapy agents called a plant alkaloidsa , and was developed from the bark of the Pacific Yew tree. Paclitaxel works by inhibiting the cella s ability to divide and reproduce, leading to cell death. Paclitaxel is used to treat many types of cancer including: breast, cervical, endometrial, ovarian, lung, bladder and head and neck cancers, Kaposia s sarcoma, and leukemia. Paclitaxel re of two types, one is synthesized from 10 DAB III while the other is directly extracted from the Taxus species. We manufacture both these type.
