Oudh - High-quality Agarwood Oil Extract, Premium Resin From Aquilaria Trees

These Oudh in Arabic literally means wood, it is probably the most expensive of trees in the world called Aquilaria sought for its resin after the tree has undergone an internal fungal infection, this is called Oudh. Oudh oil is derived from these trees that grows abundantly in Laos, but is found all over Southeast Asia. The highest quality Agarwood trees can be found in countries such as: Laos, Indonesia, Thailand, Cambodia, Indian Sub-Continent, Sri-Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam and Cambodia being the most strongest and sought after quality.
These trees form resins that can then produce some of the highest quality Oudh oils. The Aquilaria tree grows up to 40 meters high and approx 2ft in diameter. It often bears sweetly scented, snow-white flowers. Of the 11 species of Aquilaria trees, found in say Laos, it is thought that 4-6 of them can produce the highly acclaimed Oudh oil resin. The best oudh oil results from an entire tree being infected with high quality, dense resin and oil. The results are achieved by allowing plenty of time for infection to take place, and preferably in the forest or other non-contrived settings. This infection, in the past, was believed to be caused insect infestation. Eventually, this infection will cause the tree to die, and Agarwood resin can then be removed in various grades of quality, and sold. The lesser quality Agarwood has a whitish colour and contains less resin.
