Numoxylin, a brand of Amoxycillin, is an aminopenicillin with a broad spectrum of bactericidal activity against many gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms.

Numoxylin (Amoxycillin) is considered the drug of choice for the treatment of susceptible infections of the respiratory and urinary tracts, and uncomplicated gonorrhea.

The bactericidal activity of amoxycillin results from its inhibition of cell wall mucopeptide synthesis.

Composition

• Each capsule of Numoxylin 250 contains: Amoxycillin (as trihydrate): 250 mg
• Each capsule of Numoxylin 500 contains: Amoxycillin (as trihydrate): 500 mg

Therapeutic Indications & Usage:- Numoxylin is indicated in the treatment of infections caused

by susceptible (only beta-lactamases negative) bacteria:

• Respiratory tract infections
• ENT infections
• Skin and skin structure infections
• Genitourinary tract infections
• Acute, uncomplicated gonorrhea (uncomplicated ano-genital and urethral infections)
• H pylori as an adjuvant
