The chemical designation is 1,4-Dihydro-2,6-dimethyl-4-(3-nitrophenyl)-3,5-Pyridinedicarboxylic acid 2-methoxyethyl- 1-methylethyl ester. It is a yellow crystalline powder; insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol, chloroform and ethyl acetate; melting point 123-126 C; administered orally.
