It has a molar mass of 89.14. Uses: 2-Amino-2-methyl-1-propanol is used in cosmetics, buffer solution preparation, and as a reagent in the synthesis of siliconrhodamine dye. It can also be used as an acid gas treating solvent to remove H2S and CO2 from gas streams. Incompatible with: 2-Amino-2-methyl-1-propanol is incompatible with oxidizing agents, strong acids, copper, brass, and aluminum. Neutralization: 2-Amino-2-methyl-1-propanols neutralize acids to form water and salts. Exothermic: 2-Amino-2-methyl-1-propanols are exothermic.
