PEC non clogging-solid handling pumps are essentially Centrifugal, single stage end suction solids handling back-pull out type. The casing is radially split and of ring volute type with large cross section area for easy passage of solids, and is designed sturdy to withstand impact load of solids. Impellers are of large passage area, fewer vanes, semi open or open or fully open type for easy passage of solids through it. It is also provided with back vanes to balance axial thrust and to reduce pressure on stuffing box thereby increasing the life of packings and bearings. Pumps can be supplied with mechanical seal. Pumps with different materials of construction such as Cast Iron Cast Steel,and S.S.304/316 can be supplied depending upon the liquid to be handled.
Pumps are ideal for pumping corrosive and abrasive slurries, polluted liquids, waste water, sewage, liquid with fibrous material, soft solids in suspension sludges, pulpy material and contaminated liquids with solids. Pumps are ideal for dry pit installations and find their applications in effluent handling in water-pollution control project, sewage pumping stations.
