Introduction:

It is a programmable microcontroller based, low cost process indicator / controller / rate indicator / analog totalliser. It can accept either current (0-20m A, 4-20m A) or voltage (0-15m V, 0-100m V, 0-1V, 0-5V) inputs. ( Other inputs can be provided on request) The process parameter is displayed with 4 digit accuracy. The unit has RS-232 output, with programmable baud rates and can be used to output the data to a miniprinter or to a computer. The print interval is programmable from 1 sec. To 9999 sec. Provision exists for Linearisation of the input data by the means of table look-up which can be pre-programmed in an EDROM. The gain and Offset are user programmable. Two output relays are provided for control with programmable setpoints and hysterisis. The relays can be programmed to operate above the set point (high) or below the set point (low). Provision exists to invert the display (which will be useful in level indication and control). There is a smart spike filter which filters out the spiky pickups on the input signal. The signal noise can be damped by specifying a damping factor which averages the input data for specified number of samples. The unit has a built-in totalliser which integrates from the rate reading and accumulates upto 6 digits of total count. The totallise time is programmable from 1 to 9999 sec, or infininity. The totalliser can be started by pressing the front panel stop key. The unit can display rate/ peak/ valley/ integrated total. A regulated 10 volt DC (@200m A) output power is also provided which can be used to power the sensor. The configuration can be used to power the sensor. The configuration is saved in Non-Volatile memory so that the power failure does not alter its set-up.

TEMPERATURE CONTROLLER

The Process Controller can be used as a Temperature controller, used to control various applications. This provides reliable and accurate temperature reading and control. A front panel keypad is the operator interface for all tuning and control activities. Any thermo couple, RTD, current or voltage can be given as an input to this model. This equipment is designed for accuracy and reliability.

RPM INDICATOR

Indication and control for non-contact type sensors (like proximity switches) can be provided with high accuracy and response time.

MULTICHANNEL SCANNER

The Process Controller can be used as a Multi- channel scanner, which can scan and control upto 8 channels. It can accept either current (0-20m A, 4-20m A) or voltage (0-15m V, 0-100m V, 0-1V, 0-5V) inputs. It has a programmable sensor scan rate from 1 sample / sec to 1 sample / 9999 sec. Provision exists to select only the required channels for scanning. The instruments can be operated in either Auto or Manual mode.
