Mechanical Shears

Standard Feature of Mechanical Shears :
Frame:
Steel Plate interlocked construction makes Ameteep Shears practically unbreakable. Made out of rolled plates the frame is designed for minimum deflection.

Side :
Slide is a heavily reinforced welded steel construction to minimize deflection. The non-float slide maintains an extremely accurate and close knife clearance. The downward and backward pull of the links, and the upward and backward pull of the counterbalances always seat the slide against the bronze guides.

Clutch:
Ameteep shears can be fitted with a Pneumatic Friction Clutch or Mechanical jaw Clutch.

Drive:
The drive is through a heat treated alloy steel worm shaft driving a phosphor bronze worm wheel. The drive runs in oil bath and is noiseless. The worm shaft runs on pre-loaded taper roller bearings.

Hold Down:
Ameteep Shears are fitted with powerful hydraulic hold down. Hold down consists of a number of hydraulic plungers distributed over the complete length of the shear. The hydraulic pressure is generated by an inbuilt hydraulic pump mounted directly on the Crankshaft. The clamping force can be easily varied to suit the material. Special pads can be provided for soft materials.

Table:
Heavy table is bolted on the frame and can be easily moved to adjust the blade clearance. The bed is provided with front arms and squaring arms. Provision foot ball transfers for heavy sheets can also be given
