Salient Features of Mechanical Drive Drilling Rig :-
* The drilling rigs are driven by diesel engine, hydraulic torque converter and chain compound box or diesel engine, reducer and narrow V-belt, which provides smooth mechanical power to the drawworks. A number of hoisting speeds and rotary speeds are available; the power is almost used fully.
* The drawworks is divided into two sections so as to install the main drawworks on the ground level. The tapered gear box and universal shaft transmit smooth power and are simple to assemble and disassemble.
* The main drawworks (40 and 50 model) utilizes air-tube clutch to shift gears, which are suitable for remote integral or combined structure. The combined structure will realize that the drawworks can be lifted on onto the floor with different blocks, without a heavy-duty crane.
* The main brake system utilizes either a band brake or a hydraulic disc brake. And the auxiliary brake uses an eddy current brake or EATON brake. The system provides a high degree of sensitivity and reliability to reduce drillera s working intensity.
* The chain drive rigs are driven by the integral closed compound chain box (or narrow V-belt) together with the coupling. During the removal of the rigs, there is no need dismantle and chain (or narrow V-belt), but the chains can be installed easily.
