Mahua

We are leading organisation involved in trading and supplying of Mahua in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. Apart from fruits and vegetables, aromatic and medicinal plant produce is another major contributor to agrarian economy of the state. Jharkhand is naturally endowed with a large variety of medicinal plants and herbs both wild and cultivated. Mahua or Madhuca longifolia, which is considered sacred among tribal people in Jharkhand because of its medicinal value, is an important medicinal plant of the state. Mahua flower grows in almost all districts of the state. It is a seasonal forest produce that sheds its corollas during March- April. Though it is classified as a forest produce, most of the production comes from non forest land in the agricultural fields and uplands. Ranchi is the most important market for Mahua flowers. Mahua seed is used as edible oil in certain parts of Jharkhand and Mahua seed cake is also used to make soap.
