Lithopone is a white pigment, a mixture of barium sulfate and zinc sulfide. It is used in interior paints and in some enamels.

Wooden artifacts are treated with zinc sulfate and barium sulfide which undergo ion exchange reaction to form the aforementioned precipitates, which render a marble-like finish to the wooden piece.
Uses: in paints,coating,rubber,plastics,printing ink,ceramics,paper and leather.
B301 White paint, 28% of the content of zinc sulfide, better hiding powder than zinc oxide, insoluble to water, no hydrogen sulfide and alkaline fluid, dissolving in acid into a hydrogen sulfide, worse hiding powder than titanium pigment, good heat resisting property.It is well-used in paint-making, printing ink, plastics, enamel, paper, oil cloth, leather, PVC and so on.
