It is active against broad spectrum of Gram +ve & Gram -ve bacteria. Organisms resistant to penicillins and some cephalosporins due to their b-lactamases secretion are susceptible to Cefpodoxime. It is effective for longer duration with higher clinical success rate and low incidence of side effects.
