Brass K2 Centrel Emra

• Appearance: Brown clear liquid turns white water.
• Dilution: 1 part K2 central EMRA: 4 parts portable water (V/V)
• Specific Gravity: Generally 0.835 to 0.845
• Chemical Reaction: Reeact with the alkali in concrete and forms a thin water repellant skin on the surface for easy demoulding.
• Mixing: Dilute K2 Central EMRA concentrate in the proportion of 1:4 with water, using a clean container and stirring thoroughly until evenly mixed. If the emulsion is not used the same day, it should be stirred again before use and may require vigorous stirring after 5 days.
• New Timber or Metal Moulds: Normally No preparation is require.
• Used Timber or Metal Moulds: Must be thoroughly cleaned and free from old concrete, dirt, cement laitence, old mould oil and other contamination, using a strong detergent or degreaser.

Application Instruction

Preparation : Apply the1 :4 water diluted K2 Centrel EMRA to the face of the form work by spray, brush or cloth. Only one thin coat should be applied. For Absorbent new timber two coats may be necessary forthe first application only. Allow to dry. If the form work is not used for several days, a further coat may be applied. Excess coating could lead to surface dusting of the concrete. Fine sprayer and good quality brush present best application results. For cloth application, soak in the release agent and then squeeze out well before applying for thin film formation. K2 Centrel EMRA should not, generally, be used where demoulding is necessary in 24 hours.

Drying time :

Ensure thorough drying of K2 Centrel EMRA before placing concrete. In high humid conditions drying times will be much longer. Protectthe K2 Centrel EMRA coating from rain.

De-moulding :

De-moulding can be carried out in the normal way. After de-moulding form work surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned. Apply fresh coats of K2 Centrel EMRA whenever the cleaned form work materials are used.

Packaging:

K2 Centrel EMRA is supplied in 5 liter, 20 literand 200 liter containers.

Storage:

• K2 Centrel EMRA has a shelf life of 12 months in normal temperature conditions.
• Diluted K2 Centrel will be stable for nearly 5 days and must be re-stirred before use.

Health and safety instructions

Normal precautionary measures should be adapted during the use of K2 Centrel EMRA. In case of contact with skin, eyes or if inhaled, seek medical attention immediately.

Fire

Flash point of K2 Centrel EMRA is approximately 59C.
