Non-Metallic/Fabric Expansion Joints:
These flexible connectors are designed to provide stress relief in ducting systems by absorbing movements caused by thermal changes. They serve as vibration isolators, shock absorbers, and sometimes compensate for minor misalignments in ducting or equipment. Fabric Expansion Joints are suitable for ducts where the pressure is not more than 3 psi (2000 mm w/c) and temperatures up to 1000°C. For higher temperatures, internal insulation of the duct is necessary.
