Hastelloy B2 can be used in as welded condition due to its high resistivity to formation of carbide precipitates over the area of weld.

They provide a significant resistance to hydrochloric acid in all concentrations and temperature. Flanges made of Hastelloy B2 are resistive to stress corrosion and pitting.
