Features of Hammer Mill :-
PURPOSE : For grinding any kind of material at lowest initial cost and renewals.
DESCRIPTION : It consists of a grinding chamber with rotor having beaters and grates at the bottom with a gap that is dependent on the fineness required. The fineness is proportionate to the gap of the grates, speed of the rotor and shape of the hammer. The materials are fed through the "Feed Hopper". As the rotor rotates at high speed, the materials are crushed into Powder and get discharged through the grates to be collected in a chamber or to a collector.
CONSTRUCTION BODY : Upper and lower body made of Steel Plate/cast iron sa per IS : specification. Fabrication with a leak proof seating surface.
ROTOR : Made of Steel as per IS: specification by fabrication and properly machined to avoid distortions.
ROTOR SHAFT : Made of En-IX Steel.
BEATER : Generally made of carbon steel with extra hard surfacing or made of Manganese Steel as per IS: specification. The Beaters are hardened to resist wear and can also be replaced when worn out.
SCREENS : The screw are made M.S. brand are fitted with M.S. Body.
LINERS : Extra large, the liners have a grooved grinding area of 'V'. They are renewable and adjustable.
GRATES : Hard surface, or made in Manganese Steel.
BEARINGS & HOUSING : Made of cast iron as per IS : specification.
MACHINE V-PULLEY : Made of cast iron as per IS : specification.
MOTOR : RPM 1440, TEFC, 440 Volts, A. C. 50 cycles.
