Minimax Halotron 1 is a proven clean extinguishing agent that is effective on a wide range of fires. Since it is a clean agent, it does not leave a residue after application, and also minimises collateral damage to equipment within the peripheral area. This is unlike traditional dry chemical agents which can be corrosive when employed. Minimax Halotron 1 has undergone the most extensive testing of any halogenated clean agent for portable fire extinguishers since the initial submissions to various regulatory authorities in 1992. It is discharged as rapidly evaporating liquid, allowing for extended discharge throw lengths. Minimax Halotron 1was approved for commercial/industrial and military use by the USA EPA based on environmental and health effect characteristics.
