Gas Filled Thermometer

A Gas Filled Thermometer is a precision temperature measuring instrument that operates on the principle ofpressure variation of a gas with temperature. It consists of a sensing bulb filled with inert gas, a capillary tube, and a pressure-responsive element (Bourdon tube) connected to a dial indicator.

When the temperature around the bulb changes, the gas inside expands or contracts, causing a corresponding pressure change. This pressure is transmitted through the capillary to the measuring element, which converts it into an accurate temperature reading on the dial.
