Garbage chutes are common in high-rise apartment buildings and are used to collect all the garbage from the building in one place. The bottom end of the chute is placed directly above a large waste bin. This makes garbage collection more efficient and hygienic.

Each garbage chute section is:
4 foot tall (as the linked sections overlap a little on fixing, 10 ft. drop can be obtained using 3 sections)
Large inside diameter to optimize space efficiency
Slightly tapered to provide easy & efficient fixing (only 1 inch Smooth inside surface dissuades rodents from climbing up
Plastic chutes have inherent sound dampening quality compared to metal / stainless steel chutes. Hence, sound dampening treatment is not required.
