What is the Galvanized Pipe?

Steel pipes which have been coated with a protective zinc layer to ward against corrosion and rust are known as galvanised pipes. Before 1960, galvanised pipe was often used in the construction of residential buildings. When it was first developed, galvanised pipe served as an alternative to lead pipe for use in water supply lines. Lead pipe was more common at the time. On the other hand, we now know that galvanised pipes will rust and corrode on the inside if they are exposed to water for extended periods of time over many decades.

When galvanised pipes are originally placed, their hue may be described as being comparable to that of nickel. However, when galvanised pipe ages, its appearance may become much lighter, darker, or drabber, depending on the climate in which it was stored.
