Free Fall Apparatus

We offer Free Fall Apparatus. The instrument is specially designed at ELECTROMOTIVE ENGINEERS to determine the value of acceleration due to gravity of free falling body. Consist of a timer with time resolution of 0.001 secs. & a mechanical arrangement along with two steel balls of radii 12mm & 15mm. Mechanical arrangement consist of an electromagnet & scale and a detection plate at bottom. Electromagnet holds one of the steel ball & moment the timer is initiated the ball is release and it strikes the detector plate at bottom. At this moment timer stops automatically & time of travel (t) is displayed on the timer. The distance of travel (s) is measured on the scale, considering initial velocity (u) to be zero acceleration due to gravity (g) is given by g = (2s)/(t*t) cm per second square
