In 2011 Gussing Renewable GmbH, Austria, a world leader from the similar field has joined hands with GP Energy in equity and transfer of their technology. Gussing has successfully developed Dual Fluidized Bed Gasification Technology, where beside agro waste or forest waste, any carbonaceous material viz. tire, plastic, chicken litter and even Municipal Solid Waste can be gasified. Here gas is generated in absence of air and thus of very high calorific value. In addition to power and heat, synthetic oil can also be produced out of this gas and can be used as vehicle fuel. One such plant of 8MW capacity has been in operation to energize a town near Vienna since 2002. With above partnership now European Proven Technology is available at Indian Price.
