Sand Filter

It is generally used for the removal of the turbidity or Suspended solids from water, due to the various layers of sand media. Removal of suspended material form filtration with pressure sand filter or multimedia filter is necessary. The filtration is achieved by forgoing water through a bed of sand, sometimes after filtration water passed through activated carbon filter. Due to the high surface area content, carbon removes organic matter and odour causing material by process of absorption then it is available in FRP and Ms, as per requirement.

Carbon Filter

It is generally used for the removal of the turbidity or Suspended solids as well as removal of the Colour, Odour and Chlorides. Activated carbon contains maximum pores with high lodine value, which is very effective in the removal of organic impurities by absorption.

Applications

Sand and carbon filters is used in the Pre-treatment of water treatment plants. Final treatment for the effluent treatment plants. Filter vessels can be provided in FRP as well MS material.
