FRTU-1001 is suitable for Ring Main Units (RMUs), Sectionizer or any other field location to acquire data from Multifunction Transducers (MFTs), Status inputs from Breakers, Isolators and Fault Path Indicators (FPI). FRTU-1001 provides control for switching devices such as breaker, isolator switches inside RMU panel. Also, the Control can be effected from a Master station using communication network.

FRTU-1001 can acquire data in RS-485 using MODBUS protocol, and supports data transmission rates - 300 to 38400 bps for Serial ports for MODBUS and 10/100 Mbps for TCP/IP. The unit supports IEC 60870-5-104 protocol over TCP/IP and IEC 60870-5-101 protocol over RS-232 for communications with Master Stations.
