Abdos Oils Pvt. Ltd. was born out of a flash of inspiration that dawned upon Ms. Chandrani Chatterjee when she envisioned creating a FMCG brand that resonated with the needs of modern users. The first stint was when it produced a perfumed hair oil under the brand name Nihar, which attained popularity in the Indian market in no time. With time, the company began producing Olive Oil too, under the brand names of Bertolli and Figaro. The company that shaped up a reliable shampoo sachet contractual manufacturing site for HUL (Hindustan Unilever Ltd.), eventually delving into home care product manufacturing on its own. Today, Abdos Oils Pvt. Ltd. stands tall as a firm that keeps a large stock of Detergent Bars, Dishwash Bars, Dishwash Liquids, Surf, Bulk Detergent Powders, and Bulk Dishwash Bars that are formulated to eliminate all the grime and gunk without any fuss, but in an affordable and earth friendly way.

Business Journey & Growth
 

• 1997: The company began manufacturing Nihar Coconut Oil.
• 2006: The company began manufacturing Bertolli Olive Oil.
• 2013: The company began manufacturing shampoo sachets with a daily production capacity of 6.9 million sachets.
• 2014: The shampoo sachet production capacity was scaled up to 12.44 millions per day.
• 2015: The shampoo sachet production capacity was scaled up to 22.8 million sachets per day.
• 2019: The shampoo sachet production capacity was scaled up to 27 millions sachets per day. Company also began manufacturing Figaro Olive Oil for Deoleo. A new plant was set up in Kolkata, West Bengal, for meeting home care category requirements of the company. 
   

Group Company
 

The group company, Abdos, manages five businesses in FMCG, Life Sciences, Contract Manufacturing and Lamitubes. The group partners with brands like Cipla, Himalaya, Anchor and Lupin, dealing in multiple types of products for different business categories.
