FOR WHAT ETANE IMPROVER ADDITIVES ARE NECESSARY?
etane improver additives managed to get so wide distribution due to properties which arise at their addition to fuel. Increase of cetane number causes some favorable properties of fuel: successful start of the engine in the conditions of low temperatures, big environmental friendliness (emission of harmful substances in the atmosphere considerably decreases) and silence of work in comparison with work on fuel with a smaller cetane-indicator.
WHERE TO USE?

It is possible to distinguish three main directions of use of additive 2- ethylhexyl nitrate:

Average distillates with narrow fractional structure and temperature distillation indicators: DT (90-20%) from 70 to 100A ; D c (final boiling point - 90%) from 17 to 25A ;
Wide fractions of distillates with DT value (90-20%) from 100 to 120A final boiling point below 380 A C (distillation by ASTM D 86 method);
High-boiling distillates with final boiling point above 380 A C.
It is recommended to use cetane improver additives with dispersant and depressor and antiwear ones. Their combined use allows to achieve increase in profit of oil refinery. It occurs at the expense of the high selling cost of diesel fuel which comes true the increased quality of ignition, low noise of the engine, the reduced issue and easy start in cold.
