Description:

Meets ANSI/ESD S20.20 worksurface required limit (and recommendation of ANSI/ESD STM4.1-2017) tested per ANSI/ESD STM4.1-2017 and ESD TR53. Resistance to solvents, hot solder and soldering irons makes the AAC's Dissipative Rubber Worksurface Mat a versatile static-safe worksurface. Electrical performance is accomplished by using a two-layer rubber combination of a static dissipative colored top with a conductive black bottom. The top anti static side of the mat collects static off of hands, feet, tools, and equipment laid on top of it at a static dissipative rate, (1 x 106 to 9 x 108 ohms / square).Great for use in electronics production, service and repair.

INSTALLATION

Matting materials have a tendency to shrink slightly when first unrolled. In applications where length is critical, allow the material to condition for at least 4 hours before cutting to size. Always using care, trim with a sharp knife or razor blade.

Improve grounding by installing snaps to connect grounding cables onto mats.The grounding cables should be mat grounds, or common point grounds.The bottom of the mat then conducts static to ground at a conductive rate, (1 x 103 to 9 x 104 ohms / square).

Ita s recommended you have grounding cables attached for every 5 feet of mat. They should not be a daisy-chaineda together. Instead, directly connect the grounding cables to the electrical outlet.
