BEE was established by Government of India on 1st-March-2002, under the provisions of Energy Conservation Act 2001. Situations of global warming and climate changes enforced the whole world to take measures to reduce the CO2 emissions. The renewable sources such as solar and wind can make energy without CO2 emissions. But, these sources have not scoped a stage where they can entirely replace the existing methods of electricity generation. Using less energy or saving energy has been known as the simplest way of reducing CO2 emissions. The BEE has been began with a mission to make policies & develop strategies with a push on market principles and self-regulation to reach energy efficiency. The Energy Saving Guide is applicable for Equipments / Appliances like Ceiling Fan, Room Air Conditioner, Color Television, Computer, Domestic Gas Stove, Direct Cool Refrigerator, Frost Free Refrigerator, General Purpose Industrial Motor, Stationary Type Water Heater, Monoset Pump, Submersible Pump Set, Solid State Inverter, Office Automation Products, Led Lamps and Inverter Ac etc. Energy Saving Guide
