Endometer

Endometer is an electronic device for determining the root canal length, based on measuring the electrical impedance between the oral mucous membrane and the apical foramen.

The use of this device enables the patient and practitioner to avoid unnecessary exposure to X-rays, and accelerate the endodontic therapy.

The device is based on recent biological research and constructed by applying modern structural solutions that provide a high level of accuracy of measurement in a dry or wet root canal. Extraneous conditions, such as, temperature, humidity, worn-out batteries etc. have, practically, no effect on the accuracy of measurement. The position of the needle in the root canal is easily visible on the analogic screen instrument. Penetration of the needle beyond the apical foramen is announced by an additional sound alarm of an adequate tone and intensity level.
