Electrostatic Precipitator

Invented in 1877 by Frederick Cottrell, Gas Treatment Electrostatic Precipitator is a proven filtration device used in many industries (pulp mills, power stations, oil refineries, etc.) to remove up to 99.9% of fine pollutants from smoke passed out of the chimneys. This is done by charging the dust particles within gas by letting the gas pass through an electrically charged screen / metal grid. The gas when passes through oppositely charged metal plates, it charged dust particles attracts to the collecting plates. ESP is used in chimneys to allow passing of waste gases without smoke particles. Installing this device is the best way to control industrial particulate emissions, which can cause breathing difficulties. This device is composed of many mechanical and electrical components, like insulator, heating elements, control panel, disconnecting switch assemblies, collecting electrodes, discharge electrodes, gas distribution screens, collecting/discharge electrode frames, geared motors, high voltage rapper, hopper, casting, handrail, etc.
