ANTICOROSSIVE RH-12 DURACOAT RE-BAR COATING

1.Method Of Application:

1.1Air drying epoxy coating consists of two components:

a)Resin or coloured pigmented compt.

b)Hardener

2.Procedure:

1.Clean the surface to be coated by regular method of sand papering and degrease if oily/greasy surface is to be painted. Separate surface preparation procedure is provided for galvanized surface.

2.After thorough surface preparation, mix the two components as follows: Coloured Component 2 Parts

Hardner 1 Part

Mix the two components and wait for 15-20 min. or as high as 30 min. Add thinner 1 or 2 parts depending on the method of application, brushing, spraying, dipping, etc.

3.Mix only minimum quantity which you may consume for one application for spraying (say) approx. 150-300 ml. Do not add excess thinner.

4.Before spraying the coating check up the compressor for the following:

a)Moisture should be removed so that only drying air enters the gun.

b)Set the air cock pressure at 30 psi and observe that it does not reduce below 25 psi .

c)Distance of surface to be coated should be 10-12 inches from the spray gun, or depending on the nature of article adjust the distance and pressure.

5.Do not recoat before hard drying of the previous coat, preferably overnight drying is recommended for 2nd coat application. If the painting is done after correct surface preparation with two coat finish, following exceptionally good film properties are observed:

a)Very high glossy finishes.

b)Hard and tough surface.

c)Abrasion resistance or good slippery effect.

d)Good water, chemical, weather resistance.

The coating is speially formulated for RCC reinforcement bars

It can also be used for

1.Automobile parts, body covers, heavy machinery and structures exposed to bad weather conditions.

3.On any surface, i.e., metals MS, Aluminium, GI, Copper, Electroplated, Goldplated surfaces, FRP Moulded articles and most of all plastic items.
