Dowel Bar Cap - High Density Polyethylene, 1.25mm Thickness Sleeve With Compression Foam Filler, Reduces Friction In Expansion Joints

We are engaged in manufacturing and supplying excellent quality Dowel Bar Cap in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. A range of dowel bar caps manufactured from High density polyethylene reprocessed material. It is the cylindrical hollow tube of one end open and one end closed with polyehtelene foam fixed into one end to act as compression filler,which allows for expansion of dowel bars in construction joints. *The plastic sleeve has the thickness of about 1.25mm. Purpose:-(1) ? The purpose of plastic sleeve or debonding agent around dowels bars in expansion joints is to minimize the frictional resistance between the bar and its surrounding concrete. This is the reason why plain round bars are usually used instead of deformed bars which provide mechanical interlock with concrete and hence it hinders the free movement of the dowel bar.?(2) Both bituman-based paint (debonding agent) and plastic sleeve could serve the purpose of reducing friction between dowel bar and surrounding concrete. From practical point of view, the use of plastic sleeve (e.g. plastic sleeve) around dowel bars can well prepared off-site and manufactured well in advance, thus saving the time of construction.
