Model 139-020 have solenoid pilot valves, robocon valves (Balem 130), solenoid pilot valves and limit switch. These are installed at the outline of deep well pump to protect the pipeline from surges, which are caused by the starting & stopping of the pumps. When the pump is off, the valves are wide open. However, when the pump is started, the valves start to close slowly, releasing air and water from pump to the atmosphere. Moreover, as the valves close the output of the pump is diverted into the main line preventing surge, which can be caused due to stopping of the valves.
