Mechanism of action : Rabeprazole belongs to class of proton pump inhibitors which suppress gastric acid secretion by inhibiting the gastric H+ / K+ ATPase at the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cells. It does not exhibit anticholinergic or anti histamininc properties.
