The prime mover is a VOLVO 420 hp (309 kW) 12 liter diesel engine. The engine is attached to a Twin Disc clutch.

Cutterhead
The cutterhead is designed with a 5 smooth blades that are cast steel. The cutterhead is mounted to a 80 mm
(3 in.) stainless steel shaft that is attached to the cutter motor. The cutterhead motor is manufactured by
Rotary Power. The hydraulic motor has variable speed capability and is reversible. The cutterhead has a 700 mm
(28 in.) inside diameter back ring with an outside diameter of 900 mm (35 in.).
