Cresp 200 mcg Injection (PFS) contains darbepoetin alfa, an erythropoiesis-stimulating agent used to treat symptomatic anemia caused by chronic kidney disease (CKD) in adults and children. It works by stimulating red blood cell production, improving hemoglobin levels, and reducing anemia-related symptoms such as fatigue and weakness. Regular blood tests and close blood pressure monitoring are required during treatment.Cresp is not recommended for patients with uncontrolled hypertension and should be used with caution in those with liver disease, seizures, sickle cell anemia, or a history of poor response to anemia therapy. Common side effects include increased blood pressure, injection-site pain, skin rash, and allergic reactions. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding should be only under strict medical supervision, with prompt medical advice if side effects persist.
